Summer Style Guide
Summer is a particularly challenging season to dress for, balancing the need for comfort in the heat with the desire to maintain a chic and put-together look. I’ve always found it tricky to strike this balance without feeling like I’m sacrificing style.
What I’m Loving
A pretty straightforward collection of what I’m loving and into these days. Some are recent purchases, some are things I’ve had that am just now finding interest in. All in all, these are my most recent favorites that I own.
What I Ate: Gilt Bar
This restaurant has such a vibe to it. The more appropriate, mature word would probably be the ambiance. The place is dark and moody, with red leather booths and vintage feel.
Workout Chic
When it comes to getting dressed every day I am for comfort. But sometimes a sweat set just isn’t quite nice enough. I give you, athleisure.
What I Ate: RPM Seafood
I initially heard from friends that RPM Seafood wasn’t worth it, and to spend my time and money dining at Italian or Steak. However, I completely disagree with that statement.
What I Ate: Itoko
When I saw that Itoko was opening I immediately booked a reservation. As a sushi fanatic, I just had to get in to try some of their fresh, flavorful dishes.
Go-To Gifts
Buying gifts for friends, family, coworkers, etc. is so hard. As well as I may know someone, once I am tasked with finding a gift, my mind goes blank. I always find it helpful to have a few crowd-pleasers in my back pocket.
Summer Wardrobe
In my opinion, summer is the best time for fashion. With the warmer weather, bulky coats are a thing of the past (until next winter, of course). This means that more of your outfits are consistently visible and displayed to the world.
